God Knows All About Me

This is the best ever bed time book and one of my top three favorite books (and believe me, I have a lot to choose from!). I love to point out my own toes and fingers, and make motions as mom reads me the book. I enjoy studying the pictures by myself as I fall asleep. She keeps offering other bed time stories (I get to keep one in bed with me!) but I refuse them all.

Daisy Comes Home

We are studying China right now, and this picture book created a relaxing end to the school day, giving the kids a visual of everyday life and scenery in rural China.

True to Jan Brett form, the illustrations are amazingly detailed and delicious.

The Top of the World

I was only a few pages in when I realized I actually really liked it. The collages are very detailed and well done, right down to the light coming from the hiker’s headlamps and the mountain peak reflection in their sunglasses.

Grandfather’s Work

I found this little gem in the non-fiction “Africa” section of the library and we loved it! All three of us enjoyed studying the pictures and comparing even little details of African life to our life (“Mom! His mother bakes and sells white bread!”).
